I am a little obsessed with bangle bracelets and recently had the bright idea to use my handy wood burning tool to create some unique wooden bangles. While I could have used store bought wood bracelets, I decided to get really creative and use tiny embroidery hoops for my bangles. They are the perfect size for my wrist!
1. I separated the hoop and used the inside piece. 2. Next I used my wood burning tool and burned designs into the surface of the wood.
1. Next I used a variety of wooden beads 2. and burned designs into the surface of each one. 3. I used stretchy cord and strung my beads into a bracelet.

Fantastic idea! Beautiful work! I also really enjoyed your beautiful sand pictures. I am reminded of the quilting art of trapunto with the puffy looking sand.

One question: what is the inside diameter? I have a very small wrist and often have problems with bangles being too large. Can you give that size to us?? Thank you! Going over to Twitter to retweet right now!

I too found your site from a friend. Like you, I like to craft with things "outside the box" of normal materials. Clever thinking on the embroidery hoops. A long time wood burner myself, I'm sure I'll be raiding my embroider supplies soon. lol

Awesome. I like how you used the embroidery hoops. An alternative for other wrist sizes (small children or larger adults), you can use popsicle or craft sticks. Search google on how to bend them into a bracelet.
