I read somewhere (probably on Pinterest) that dipping leaves in wax will preserve them from curling up and drying out so they'll last all season. I love this idea!
So simple and so amazingly beautiful. I have preserved leaves on the branch by putting the branch in glycerin. I can't remember if it was straight glycerin or mixed with water (so long ago!) The leaves soak it up through the branch and become almost a soft rubbery texture. Perhaps they can be taken off then and retain the preserve? Happy fall!
Hey Alisa, this is so pretty! I've been trying to come up with some fall decoration that's pretty & not kitsch.. You've just provided me with the solution (at first I thought the leaves were feathers):) I'll link to this on my blog :)love to you and your family, Judith

Is that a wood burning stove you have there? We have a coal burning stove, it's so cozy.
