Lucy turned 3 over the weekend and we have been celebrating for days! Something about this birthday feels big and I have been reflecting for weeks about the journey we have been on as a family. It boils down to this- I am so very grateful for this little girl and the shine that she brings into our lives. Not a day goes by (not even bad ones) without appreciation for this crazy wonderful ride that is parenthood!

They couldn't be truer words. I really related to your words as my daughter has just turned 3 as well ... maybe it's due to being an older Mum (I just turned 48 on Monday) but I do believe I appreciate even those horrible tantrums and try and let them pass ... if I can ... After a friend passing just recently too, it's brought it home as to how much more precious my life with her is. It's unbelievable how all these beautiful reminders are entering for minute moments here and there. Thank you for sharing. I love the balloons on the beach too! We spent the afternoon on a very windy beach on my daughters birthday ... the balloons would have blown away. Gorgeous!!! Happy birthday Lucy.
