I'm obsessed with flowers, they are colorful, beautiful, full of details and are the perfect inspiration for any creative medium. I love flowers so much that I decided to dedicate an entire class to flowers! From finding inspiration to drawing to doodling to painting, (even a little bit of crafting) Flower Power is a fun little class that will focus on using flowers and all things floral as your subject matter.
Flower Power is a "mini class". It is structured into 3 large lessons.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SUPPLIES: This class like all of my classes, does NOT have a required supply list. Instead I will be sharing the supplies that I like to use and then give you a variety of options and inspiration to use supplies that work best for your process and your budget.

I've always loved hydrangeas. The big puffy globes of flowers in pinks or pale greens and blues seem so friendly and inviting. And they say summer is here :)
We've recently relocated to a remote jungle island, and just outside the kitchen window in this little jungalow is a hibiscus bush. It's covered in flowers, and so many birds and butterflies visit, sometimes I just sit here watching - it's quickly become my favourite flower!

Violets, bachelor buttons, hollyhocks - when I was little I turned them into little ladies with beautiful skirts. They lived in the houses of grass, leaves, sticks and rocks.
I absolutely love magnolias! I've been trying to draw them forever and I just can't get the hang of it.

I used to work in a greenhouse years ago and found that I really loved lysianthus in particular. Also freesia are a lovely flower as well.

Roses are my all time favorites. I'm thankful my husband has a green thumb and loves to grow them for me.

When my daughter was stillborn, every arrangement we received had some kind of lily in it. I realized I loved lilies and now we consider the Stargazer Lily "her" flower. It's comforting to see them, and they are so beautiful to me.
Love the hydrangea ... with their soft variegated hues and endless colors. They can be blue, pink, lavender, and every nuance in between. Thanks for the give away!

Wow! More art.... Yea.... My favorite has changed many times over the years, as I am exposed to new and amazing beauty and scents. In my front yard, I have lot of star jasmine, and they are in bloom right now, and the aroma is to die for. The smell envelopes your whole being. That's what I call a flower!

Roses have always been my favorite but it's hard to find one I don't like.

What a wonderful treat Alisa! We just(yesterday) got de key of our new home we bought and it has a garden :) So I'm just learning about all the flowers out there, but favorites of mine have always been the poppies and daisies :D Would be awesome if I could learn to draw my garden flowers! Xx
Gardenia. I always loved it's ivory white petals and remarkable scent. My favorite flower gift was a gardenia bush from my daughter.
Poenies are my favorite but I also like magnoleas and bouguainvileas. Since the beginning of spring each time I have been crossing a flower I wonder how you would have drawn it.

I love the spring flowers; the crocus, the tulip, the daffodil, the magnolia, the cherry blossom. My favorite is the ranunculus...For me it's rejuvenating after a long winter..
My fav is lily of the valley. I love it's fresh smell, dainty little flowers and that it reminds me of being a child and making May baskets and filling them with mints and lilies of the vslley

My favorite flowers are peony and hydrangea!
I can't pick one, I have two favorite flowers.
Both of them grew in my Granny's garden.
The Freesia bloomed just before my Birthday and filled the air with their strong scent. My granny used to gather some to create a birthday bouquet for me.
The other flower is Gerbera. They grew next to the doorway stairs at my granny's house and I just loved looking at them while sitting with my granny on the stairs. I chose Gerbera for my wedding bouquet.

My favorite flower is peony. Love their scent, especially. But mine are always gone too fast. This way I could preserve some.
My favorite flower is the magnolia blossom. It goes through so many interesting stages. Plus, it smells amazing.
I love them all! If I had to narrow it down I would say daisies.....they make me smile. Roses would be next.....then salvias. I could just go on!

Its Peony! Not only do I love the variety of colors they come in, i love there fragrance! If you pick them early before they open completely you can dry them and there scent lasts a very long time. thanks for chance to take one of your classes.

Magnolias have always been first on my list. For the first time in my seven decades, I have white, violet and yellow iris blooming. The knockout roses in red and pink are also out there begging to be painted.

I have always loved freesias. they might be less showy than some, but they are pretty and their scent is so lovely - sweet but with 'spice'.

Oh! To pick my favorite flower is no easy task!! That's like asking me to pick my favorite child (even though I only have one! LOL!). But some favorites that come to mind are sunflowers and cosmos and forget me nots. And daisies. And dandelions! Oh so soft and yellow! They are all beautiful!!! Waaaaay too many possibilities for a favorite!

I love tulips. I had them for my wedding and yesterday I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point Gardens in Utah. But I also love the smell of lilacs which are also in bloom right now.

My ultimate favorite flower is the Tulip. I remember as a child taking tulips from my mother's flower garden to school to place in front of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary during the month of May. Tulips bring me such joy.
I'm already registered for the class but can't resist saying my favorite is Sunflowers. I love the way they turn their faces toward where the sun is, even on gloomy days. Reminds us there is always light if we seek it.

Already want to do this class! I have 3 favorite flowers because they're all equally beautiful. The dahlia, the sunflower and the peony. They all have such dimension and layers of beautiful petals.
My all time favorite is the cecile brunner climbing rose. The scent from this tiny pink rose is what I think of when I hear the word rose.
I've always loved daffodils since I memorized the poem "Daffodils" by William Wordsworth in 2nd grade way back in 1962! "When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils."

First time I saw my favorite flowers, I fell inlove, well this feeling came as a coincident not as these flowers are heart shaped.
But it wasn't just that, the whole construction seemed to be a magnifying image of what love is. Love starts from one (oneself) and when connected to another love it grown and spreads around. Almost as though bleeding for more of a kind. The name of my favorite flower is bleeding heart.

Virginia Bluebell. They look sad but resilient and grow in the toughest conditions. They remind me to be positive during times of great stress.

As a botanist, I love all the flowers! But if I must pick a single one, I'd say the lily.
My favorite flower changes with the seasons, but I think English Daisies are at the top of the list. They don't have a scent, but they take me back to Lucy's age, picking bouquets for the Aunties and Gram.
