I went and tried the rubber cement resist, oh it was fantastic! Thanks so much. I had to go to the office supply for school today and well, I picked up a fresher bottle of rubber cement. Mine was a bit less fluid than it could have been being in my drawer for awhile. I used to use it all the time but it's banned from my workplace so I brought it home and forgot about it. Now I have a creative reason for playing with it again. I love rubbing it off and seeing the magic!~ So inspired! Thanks again!

Hi Alisa! Thanks for embedding the video in this post...I'm definitely a visual learner, and while I always love reading about how to carry out a technique, it is just better for me to see someone as they are doing it.
I do have one question...on the first page, when you created the squiggly lines and then painted over them with purple watercolor paint, how did you create the squiggles? Was it a white crayon? A pastel? A marker or pen of some kind? I couldn't get a good look at what you were using, but loved the effect!
So inspiring as always! I've got the same question as Jenny though: what do you use on the first two backgrounds to create those negative space squiggles? It's not rubber cement I think, and I've been looking forever for something like this without knowing what it was called!
