a peek inside my sketchbook- flower fields and finger paint

IMG_4721
In my Art of Abstraction class I've been demonstrating how to use your fingers and hands (instead of tools) to create paintings full of energy and expression. Using finger painting is a great way to really channel your creative energy and get immersed in color. I've been having so much fun teaching this technique that I have been using it in my own work and my recent trip to the flower fields was the perfect subject matter for finger painting.

Here is a peek...

I am currently enrolled in this class and having a wonderful time. You are an amazing instructor and I thoroughly enjoy learning from you. Your teaching videos are wonderful. You explain things beautifully.

After looking at all these totally amazing 'finger painting' creations I have to ask:

    What CAN'T you do!!!

Have a wonderful week. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us this week.

  30. My computer-savvy son, who studies art, showed me that at wahooart.com, we can browse through their big collection
of images from western art, to get some ideas for painting the wall in our music room.

I found that it was easier, time-saving and economical to order a big canvas print of an original painting from the site. I
ordered this famous La dance by French artist Henri Matisse, http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-5ZKCN9. What a lovely blue.
