Its GIVEAWAY TIME and I am giving away the canvas no sew tote AND the magazine that it appeared in- the first ever Cloth Paper Scissors Gifts. I was asked to create yardage of painted canvas and of course I created a surface full of messy colorful layers and texture complete with silkscreened pattern. The canvas was then sent to Jodi Kahn who created an amazing tote that instead of sewing, used everyday materials (like staples and duct tape) the bag it truly amazing!
If I wasn't so limited on space right now, I would keep it for myself because purses and tote are my FAVORITE accessory- I cannot have enough of them! But I kid you not- my studio is BURSTING at the seams so I am giving it away to one lucky reader.

I cannot live without my head scarf (like yours). It is an absolute necessity for a lady with a baby face with a head full of premature gray hair! When it's time to dye the roots (every other week) the scarf goes on.

I go through phases with my accessories. Sometimes I wear earrings or a necklace and nothing else. Right now I live for bracelets! I've been mixing lots of different bangles and friendship bracelets or wearing a cuff every day!

accessory I cannot live without? I'd have to say a bag. I don't carry purses, I carry bags. I have a bitty coin purse that holds my money and cards, and then I have a bag that you can stuff a small toddler in. It holds my laptop, school books, lunch, knitting, and my purse (which holds the coin purse). The purse lives inside the bag, and I usually pull the coin purse out and stick that in my pocket. I've been told that's weird

Love the bag :) My wife and I made mokume gane wedding rings for each other out of silver and white gold at a workshop in SF. It was an amazing experience to create that ring and place it on her finger and become her spouse. We are one of the 18,000 legally married same sex couples in CA. That ring means the world to me.
