What a wonderful, colorful city! It bring's me back to the ones I made as a kid, including one summer when I acquired several large appliance boxes that I promptly connected into adjoining room's, added shelves, aaand used my dads water proof roofing paint to seal my new abode, and weatherproof it to play in the front yard for week's( much to my mother's tidy chagrin!)Ah the good ol' day's!

As a child, I used to 'design' streets full of cardboard buildings..none tall, and certainly not so beautifully painted as yours..but I know I would have loved to spin my inner tales with your wonderful creations..thanks for sharing them..

As I open your blog I think " what is she going to paint in today?" You are so creative!! Love that you incorporate Lucy into creating your projects. I especially liked the post showing your home; it is so bright and cheerful. We lived in beautiful Oregon for many many years so I know color has to be a bonus on the gray days. Thanks for sharing your projects.

Lucy is absolutely precious! And she is so much a part of your creative world - such a gift you are to each other! I love that you share your talents and bring Lucy into your creative projects so freely. And then you share them with US, your readers, to enjoy. I love this boxes project, it is adorable and so colorful. You are "the mom"!

This is adorable! I am taking the online summer sketch and used some of my sketches for a post today! A friend and I are trying to decide which class we will take next. I adore the cardboard city, I have always wanted to try to recreate some of the cardboard designs I have seen in Anthropologie ( the animal head reminds me of some of them). I am loving the course, thanks!

I am 56 and about to have my 4th grandson. BUT, let me tell you about my childhood....I was the oldest of 4, but we only spanned 4 years, so its really like two sets of twins. My father worked at SEARS, and WE HAD BOXES all the time. I chased down the neighbor before she threw out her frig box 3 years ago for the first 2 grandboys! My father designed Halloween costumes out of boxes and we won prizes in our town's Halloween Parade. Thank you for the memories...we just buried our mother last month....my parents were very creative & fertile, me, too I had 5 kids in 8.5 years...and now that everyone is out of the house, I do art each & every day! I am so lucky, Holly.
