a peek into our weekend

Picture 2
It is crunch time over here and we spent the weekend packing, loading our moving van, prepping the house for our renter- painting, painting and more painting-I am officially sick of painting! Everything is now out of the house except for a mattress on the floor and all of Lucy's gear. We are tired and overworked, we have nearly killed each other numerous times! Taking care of everything (only the two of us, while juggling a baby) was the most challenging task we have yet to conquer but somehow we did it!

Ha, ha, ha - pretty funny and so true!!! It's hard to get uprooted with a little one to boot!

Welcome to the club! Now that you're exhausted - good luck with the drive. At least you have cell phones to communicate. We actually had walkie talkies 7 years ago when we did our drive from SD to Portland, OR - lol! That's how times have changed - we were trying to save money. I had a just under 1 year old in the back of the car along with my grandma - one place we stopped late for the night had one room left in the whole town and it had one King bed - for all 4 of us - lol. Good luck!

To have that lovely attitude after painting over the beautiful floor and those walls. Swoon. I love the cool blue gray you painted over. I know.... It's just paint. Safe travels.

We did gutted the house we bought here in southern CA two years ago so I understand the tired of painting feeling.
It was our dream to move back to CA and it has really helped my art. Good luck with your dreams.

What a sweet post! We moved when my son was 3 months old and my daughter was 2 1/2, so I totally know where you are coming from. You did find some great moments with your camera though. So when you look back, you'll have some good things to remember as well as the challenges!
