Today while meditating, my kitty Tonks stretched out beside me and lay with my hand nestled in between his paws, his nose on my hand - these are the moments of my life when I feel truly blessed to be alive and smile. My life has been so stressful the first 5 months of this year and moments like these remind me why it is worth it to keep moving forward.

What makes me smile is coming home from lunch yesterday and going on the front porch to check the finch nest that is snuggled into a decorative broom...and absolutely flipping out that egg #1 hatched! The little new life was too precious for words, all pink, big black closed eyes, and little sprigs of white fluff that will fill out eventually. An absolute joy!! One down, six to go. I can't wait to smile more. :)
