homemade brigadeiros
Tis the season for entertaining and what better way to show friends and family how much you love them by making homemade brigadeiros! Brigadeiros are a Brazillian sweet treat, kind of like a truffle (think fudge meets a bon bon) and they are just about the easiest thing to make!
In a sauce pan, combine cocoa, butter and condensed milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened and shiny (it took me about 10-12 minutes)
Remove from the heat and let cool or refrigerate to speed up the process.

Once cool, use a melon baller to scoop the mixture and shape into balls.
Roll each ball in sprinkles, powdered sugar, nuts, coconut, etc.

A box of brigadeiros makes a great hostess gift or even a party favor or you can just eat the entire batch yourself :)

black friday SALE all week long
It's kind of a tradition around here to have a Black Friday Sale but this year I am having my Black Friday sale all week long- starting today! My hope for those of you out there who celebrate Thanksgiving, is that instead of shopping on Thanksgiving (and the day after) maybe choose to relax and soak up all that family time without the pressure to hit those big sales!
Sale prices are marked down in the shop all week Sunday, November 23- Sunday November 30th! So get em' cheap while you can!
In addition to the sale, I've permanently marked down 5 of my older online classes. I have been offering online classes since 2009 and since then my classes have come A LONG way- back then I couldn't afford an HD camera and I was still developing my online class teaching style. Even though some of these classes are 5 or 6 years old, they still have all kinds of great information and instead of retiring them, I decided to mark them down from $50 to $30 and now with the sale they are $20 this week!
Head on over to the shop HERE for my complete online class offerings!

new stamps and GIVEAWAY!
I am so excited to have four new rubber stamp sets in the shop! It's exciting to be able to offer a variety of my own drawings and designs as rubber stamps to use in your mixed media projects. And today I am giving away 10 sets of stamps (scroll all the way down for details).
FLOWER GIRLS STAMP SET
I teamed up with my UBER talented husband Andy to create this lovely set of FLOWER GIRLS STAMPS. He drew the faces and I drew the flowers! There are all kinds of ways to use this set- draw or doodle around the faces, stamp flowers around the faces, use the flowers to create patterned paper, use the faces in mixed media projects- the ideas are endless!
I am obsessed with geometric patterns so I created a GEOMETRIC STAMP SET that I would use in my own projects. This set is perfect for creating all kinds of patterned paper- I'll be using it to make my own wrapping paper and tags this Christmas!
ARROW STAMP SET
I love using arrow images in my own work so I thought it would be fun to create a simple SET OF ARROWS that can be used in all kinds of projects- repeat to make patterned paper, create unique greeting cards and tags, use in scrapbook pages or art journals.
WREATH STAMP SET
During the holidays I am always doodling wreaths- on wrapping paper, cards and tags so I thought it would be handy to create a SET OF WREATH STAMPS that can be used for holiday crafting.
