This year I just can't seem to get a start on the handmade cards and gifts I was to give. A stamp set and class taught by such wonderful artists may be just what I need!

lovely giveaway! Like your stamps, especially the feathers! Hollidayseason starts with making decorations for the tree with the kids. When they were little I let them scribble on paper and I cut out trees and ornaments. It was lovely. Last year we make saltdough, painted it and added a lot of glitter :-) We also used them as a tag for the gifts. One of the first things is arranging the christmaslights and candles.

We begin the holiday season every year by setting up the "kids'" tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This tree displays the ornaments that my kids, now 15 and 20, made through the years. It is also home to the unbreakable ornaments as my son, the 15 year old, used to like to re-arrange the ornaments every day! Lots of wonderful memories...

Nadia said...

Our tree is up and decorated. I use our coffee table to display our nativity set, mini trees that the boys decorate, and advent calendar. That is all ready to go. I'm also getting ideas together to make an activity advent calendar. We live close to the equator, so it is always warm...I feel like I always need to put a little bit more effort into making it feel really Christmassy here.

We just moved over the Thanksgiving weekend. So most of my holiday decor is still packed! BUT I did plug in the tree (sans ornaments) & have a few lights outside. I am going to really get into the spirit on Friday when my daughter & I will be making our first round of cookies! YAY! Love the new stamps & always love the collaborations with Christy! Cheers!

I'm decking the halls and learning new ways to re-purpose some old tired decorations! Also, planning all the goodies to bake for gifts! Thanks for a chance to win....fingers crossed! :)

Snow is falling today and that has put me in the holiday mood. Out comes the wreath and up go the decorations. I'm ready.

I purchased Mercury Glass Ornaments and some other Christmas Items while on a pre Thanksgiving trip with a couple of girlfriends. This is the first time in 3 years that I have even thought about decorating for Christmas. Our only daughter died and she loved Christmas so it has been very difficult. My husband hung the ornaments and lights across the deck this morning. Excited about the chance to win a set of your stamps or the class!

Oh wow, I knew there'd be a ton of comments on today's post!! What great giveaways!! We kick off the holiday season by putting up our tree Thanksgiving evening, and putting up all of our decorations the day after. Also, we have a yearly "snowman" tradition, where each year we find or make the perfect snowman figurine. This year, my daughter and I tried our luck with sculpey! We made some great little snowmen to display!

It's a double countdown this year! We're getting ready for Christmas AND are participating for the first time to two Christmas craft sale. They're craft's material, paint, and stuff everywhere and big smiles on our faces! So thrilling to share these moments with our two young ones! :)

I am starting off the Holiday Season with a Christmas tree, cookie making, and making some sort of ornament as gifts for friends. Love your stamps and your feather paintings.

Around here we headed to the local Festival of Trees fundraiser on Thanksgiving night. It was a good way to get in the spirit of the season and it inspired me to do some holiday decorating before the weekend was out.

I'm starting the Christmas season by making a few gifts. I will be doing the "painted baby pants" from one of your posts for my 6 month old twin grandsons. I will also do some painted tags for my gift packages. In between, our tree will go up and also our Byers Choice carolers.
Winning one of your giveaways would make a wonderful Christmas gift for ME :)

I have kicked off the season by taking your online Create Daily Holiday Edition class. Love all the ideas. And, my wedding anniversary is this Friday so my husband and I will probably go get our tree as part of our celebration. Thanks for this opportunity with the giveaways.

I have been flailing around looking for ornaments to make but I'm tired of making the same old thing, I want something new! I pulled out a couple of decorations I made last year and put them on display. I also bought some Holiday baking magazines. Other than that not too much.

At first I tidy up my studio and then I choose new projects and I unpack everything again, to make a new tree for example !

I started the season by shopping online and buying your ode to nature class after my shopping was done! Loving it, thanks for the chance to win!

i don't do much traditional holiday preparation. i do decorate the house a couple of weeks before christmas. instead of buying presents for those who are fortunate enough to not really need them, i donate to charities. then i chill out and enjoy the spirit of the season.

I love all you do Alisa. Thanks so much for all your inspiration and this opportunity to win some of your lovely stamps or a place on a workshop.

I like to kick off the season by starting a new holiday season journal. I keep all sorts of thoughts, lists and junk in there, including new year's stuff (goals, etc. for the following year). It's a great way to gather ideas and thoughts in one place (cos I am so unorganized) and I have something to go back to in following years.

Christmas is always tough for me (even more so this year since a week ago we had to send one of our cats to peace from the cancer that he had). I have made a few ornaments so far, but already signed up for the Arsty Ornaments class - So I'm hoping I'm picked for the stamps! ;o)

We always start our Christmas Season by pouring a glass of champagne and decorating the tree. Since our kids are grown, we really love looking at their home made ornaments.

This year will be our first Christmas without my beloved Mom who passed away 6 weeks ago so my holiday season won’t start until my two young adult kids make it home. I am hoping to find my Christmas spirit when I see them. I am a long time follower of your blog and love your new stamps - way to go!

Though my life is still consumed with studying for the next 3 weeks, I have switched my music to beautiful Christmas hymns and have been drinking many more delicious hot drinks!! Also impulsively adding cinnamon and nutmeg to almost everything. I can't wait to carve out some time this season to be creative.

Not sure if my comment went through or not. I like to get my boys involved in making some ornaments to kick start the holiday! I like to add at least one new type of ornament to the tree each year. Would love a set of rubber stamps or the class! Great!

I am making my soy wax candles to sell for Christmas and gifts and I also have sprayed sprigs of ferns from my yard that have turned brown with gold paint. I plan on using them around my drift wood angel. So planning the decorating. Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway, I love your stamps and your artwork.....

I kicked off the holiday season on Thanksgiving. My husband's family was here for the weekend. Thanksgiving day was a record 65 degrees so while the turkey was cooking we put up Christmas lights outside. Outside in late Novemeber in Green Bay in a t-shirt! The next day it was 35 degrees and the indoor Christmas decorations went up. :)

I really enjoy your blog. You are a very talented artist and I love to see the adventures you go on with the adorable Lucy.

I decided to redecorate the living room, where we have our annual family Christmas gathering. (Yikes!) The walls are painted the furniture is either relocated or donated. I have put out a few nutcrackers but before I do anymore Christmas decorating I have to find furniture. I could really use the online class or rubber stamps for some craft time stress relief, I think my children would enjoy it too!

Those stamps are so droolicious and I'd love the workshop too. My holiday kick off is to get out my ikebana dish and go find a small Charlie Brown tree to fit in it. I'm too old to haul and put up a big tree, but the little ikebana tree is perfect. I've always loved miniature things, so is fun to find mini ornaments and make mini snowflakes for it.
