I am SO thrilled with the positive feedback about my new rubber stamps and to celebrate I am giving away 5 sets of stamps!
AND....
I am also thrilled to be participating in Christy Tomlinson's online course 12 Artsy Ornaments of Christmas No. 2 and I am giving away 1 free spot for the class!!

The Christmas tree is up with lights & garland so far. My son decided that Rudolf should be the tree topper so we have a wire-legged reindeer clinging for dear life to the top branch. Next weekend the Christmas crafting will begin. The rubber stamps would be a wonderful addition!
ReplyDeleteOh, actually I am really early this year: Last weekend I had my first viewing of 'The Grinch'- three to five more to follow! And yesterday I put together a quick and easy advent wreath - lighting a candle every week before the celebration is what really gets me in the Christmas-mood!
ReplyDeleteI'm setting up my tree tomorrow! A lot of people think a white tree is tacky but I LOVE it! Lol.
ReplyDeleteEvery year I start with handmade Christmas cards!I don't know how I manage not to be in time every year but that's how it is maybe because every time I want to add a handwritten letter too!Anyway that's a great giveaway! I would love to win a set of your stamps. The feathers are especially beautiful. I wanted to order one but you have no International shipping! The course I am sure is great too. I did your create daily and the one Jeanne Oliver did for five weeks for home decoration.AriadnefromGreece!

Le thème plumes m'a toujours inspiré et j'aimerai bien gagner vos timbre que je trouve magnifique
ReplyDeleteHoliday season HAS to start with watching the Muppets Christmas Story and having chocolate fondue with my best friend. After that, it's allowed to eat Plätzchen (the kind of cookies you bake for christmas), decorate the house and feel all festive.
ReplyDeleteHere in the Netherlands there is not such a thing as the holiday season, but this time of the year is a good time to light the candles and be creative for christmas. Its my biggest whish to win stamps from you or to win a workshop. Love Petra
ReplyDeleteI am kicking of the season by making some ornaments from last years class. Seriously!!! I'm making a bunch of little book paper houses! Peeling glue of my fingers as I type!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning a walk downtown Portland with a friend to let the sights/sounds/energy of the season inspire us. And of course, the Michael Allen Harrison Christmas concert at the Old Church is not to be missed.
ReplyDelete~Bobbie C
We got out all the Christmas books yesterday and actually read the first one.
ReplyDeleteWe're starting the dough ornaments today!
Here in Okinawa, my Christmas packages and cards are mailed, and my tree is up. I'm having a wonderful Christmas season virtually creating with my mom (who I'm half the globe away from at the moment) as we enjoy taking your Create Daily Holiday class! Thanks for this wonderful giveaway, Alisa!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful give away.
ReplyDeleteI live in Belgium and there is no real Holiday Season.
But we make our own, and we kick it of with my Birthday, followed by the celebration of Sinterklaas on December 5th.
Greetings from Jolande
First, i'm making christmas paper to wrap my present, then, i'll be making christmas cookies. I have no space for a christmas tree, but still i love to decorate my place hanging white/translucid balls with red ribonn and branch of pine.

Alisa, many thanks for such an opportunity! We actually started getting prepared for Christmas holidays - in September (making wish-lists, getting presents ready and making up the Holiday scenarios)... 31 December is a double holiday for us - our baby-girl was born on the NY's Eve, so double the fun, double the presents, double the efforts to make the Day really memorable))) We already have outdoor decorations installed, sewing Safe Christmas ornaments and creating the Poinsettia Softbooks...
ReplyDeleteNatasha from Russia
Hi there, Her in The Netherlands I will start December 6 with decorating our home. On December 5 we have Sinterklaas (a sort of Santa Claus) for the children and I can't wait till he's gone! In our kitchen there will be lights and Christmas decoration. In the garden we have lights and lets not forget our Christmas tree. Decoration will be homemade, just like all kinds of food. Yummie! I can't wait till its Decmeber 6!
ReplyDeleteI love your on line classes and your blog & ART, it is one of my favorite blogs ! Such a pity that we can not order your new stamps, they are so beautiful. I' m kicking off the holiday season by making my own Christmas cards style "sew wild" with my own made paper by monoprinting, spraying and painting. Kind regards Henriette from the Netherlands.
ReplyDeleteI must say the holidays are always difficult for me, but I am trying my little heart out to make this year different. I have been knitting and crocheting up a storm for gifts. I am going to Seaside Soirée a crafty charity workshop for the start of the month, and while I am gone little elves (my dear, dear husband) will put up the tree and all the decorations for a holiday party that first week in December. So lots going on for the Christmas spirit to be energized, but winning a spot in your class or some of your stamps would be the best charge to the holidays ever!
ReplyDeleteI do as much as I can to keep Christmas away until December hits. I will be helping my dad serve food for his church's Christmas party on the 1st.

I began the season with a trip to Fredericksburg Virginia. The town is very old and it looked like a Victorian Christmas card all decorated for the holidays. Had so much fun shopping in antique stores for vintage supplies to use in gift and craft projects. Thanks for the give away opportunities.
ReplyDeleteI began the season by creating 24 gifts for our Advent Calendar. Last year I made my calendar "Peace On Earth" using the ideas for lettering from your book "Sew Wild". I worked Thanksgiving and will work Christmas as well. It's got me a bit sad, but hey, I'm in the medical industry -organ donation, specifically- and people still need new hearts and kidneys and such on holidays. I'll just tell myself I'm giving a really cool gift to someone.

Hope you have a lovely first christmas in your new home

We have a large tree and it will be filled with hand made ornaments from our kids who are now 20 plus years old, and others collected over the years. It is a walk down memory lane for me when I place each one on the branch. I love your work, your blog, and Sew Wild. It sounds very simple but for my kids it says, "Christmas" more than anything else. We all love it.
ReplyDeleteWe started the holiday season off this weekend by visiting our town square that's covered in lights and by putting our Christmas tree up.

I am starting the holiday season off by decorating and finishing up gift buying as early as possible. I tend to wait until the last minute and it leaves me feeling stressed and harried and grinchy towards the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteI can already feel the stress lifting! Just with my good intentions :) Cheers!

I just finished up making a fun Christmas garland for my fireplace out of watercolor paper, watercolors, and a little pen detail. The feedback has been amazing, so I may make a few more to sell. Your site is one of the daily morning top five I check that gives me inspiration and motivation that I apply to my own work, whether I'm painting, drawing, or sculpting. Your new designs are definitely more complex and refined (I've been reading your site for about a year), and it's great to watch another artist's work grow and evolve from great to greater. Lucy and your new home must be having a major impact. Thanks for being here!
ReplyDeleteWe usually kick off our holiday by putting up lights and decorating the day after Thanksgiving, but it was 80+ degrees here in So. Cal. It just didn't feel right, so we'll do it next weekend and hope for cooler tempertures!
ReplyDeleteWe began our holiday season by starting a new family tradition of cutting our own Christmas tree and coming home for hot coco and holiday movies. This year it was Plains Trains and Automobiles...Love it!

These stamps are AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteI love the cozy feeling you get with the holidays. Can't wait to start crafting with some nice christmas music on the background :)
I know the Festive Season is upon me when the first card arrives in the mail. I have some friends who are always early. That urges me to get on with card-making. I make at least 20 'special' cards each year for my 'arty' friends. Sometimes I re-use bits of old commercial card in collaged pieces, sometimes it is all paint and paper.....and I love it!
