Love the ideas. I am so inspired by your art that I have decided to use your website as the inspiration for my bedroom decor. I am going with a gypsy-harem type design with overlapping colour and pattern.
For the scrap fabric sleeves, if your sleeve is stretchy enough or wide enough, you don't need to cut it open as you could slip it over the arm of your machine. You don't want to stretch it too much or your new patches will have a ruched effect, but some might like that anyway.
Hi follow your blog and enjoy your art work. Have you tried making snow scenes with your little one . Mix soap flakes - pure soap -I use lux in England , not sure of equivelent, with warm water. Mix until you get a stiff cream consistency. Spoon onto a base . I use cardboard covered with tin foil . Make trees and foliage from twigs, cones and decorate with anything. Sprinkle with glitter. The soap will set hard and you have a table decoration which will keep for ages. Pre school children through to adults will spend ages making their landscapes. I often collect small cake decorations and broken xmas decorations as resources too.
