My fav fairy tale is the princess and the pea.
My absolute favorite was, and still is, the Firebird. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firebird_(Slavic_folklore) My grandfather got me a beautifully illustrated pop-up version of the story when I was 4 and I couldn't help but fall in love with it.
oh the class looks like its bursting with everything I hold dear, colour and creatures!
my favourite fairy tale when I was a girl, was Rapunzel, I used to tie a sheet to my had and swan around the house with this epically long sheet pony tail on more occasions that I could count! I think my love of spinning wheels came from this story aswell, as I have a beautiful old wheel called thumbelina..sigh* how I adore fairy tales.
It would be an honor to win a spot in one of your classes! I am yet to experience one, due to mummy budget.
have a beautiful day Alisa

Oh man. This looks awesome! I would love to win a spot. My favorite fairy tale is Cinderella.
this looks amazing. My favorite story is Cinderella
When I was a child, I had beautiful, three-dimensional Hansel and Gretel book. The book was actually in the shape of the witch's candy house, and I would pour over and over that book just because of the amazing illustrations; I could almost imagine myself inside of that story.
Thank you for the walk down memory, and for such a wonderful giveaway!
Oh this class sounds amazing!
I can't decide which was my favorite story. It's between George MacDonald's The Princess and the Goblin (with gorgeous art by Jessie Wilcox Smith!) and Tenthragon by Constance Savery. Both were just scary enough... ;0)
I love The Princess and the Pea for some reason. Thanks for all the inspiration! I love this blog.
This class looks great! Thanks for the giveaway, keeping my fingers crossed! I loved the Wizard of Oz.
The Frog Prince....because, of course, one has to kiss a lot of frogs before one meets her handsome prince!
My favorite was Sleeping Beauty. Thanks for this wonderful giveaway.
Ooohhh this looks so cool. I am currently doing your larger than life course, so would be stoked to follow it up with this course. My fav of course was snow white & the 7 dwarves. It has all the goodies you want in a fairy tale. Evil witch, beautiful princess, handsome prince and lots of woodland creatures and friends to help the damsal in distress. And of course a happy ending. :-)
I loved Simon and the witches it was spooky!!
Not really fairy tale, but the Bible stories. I loved the old testament stories. My mother used to read us at the bed time.
I love the story of Cinderella. I've heard so many different versions and yet it never gets old. :)
The magic, wonder, and true love. That's a fairy tale I love to hear.
My favorite was Cinderella. I always like to see the underdog win.
The first movie I ever saw in a theater was Disney's Snow White. I was excited and terrified at the same time. Then in high school, my French class put on a play of Snow White - yes, entirely in French. (Wish I could speak it as well as I did then.) This class looks like fun!
I always loved Goldilocks and the three bears. I used to be a blonde child and I lived in the woods.
My favorite story was "weenie witch", about an old witch who gets banished to the top of a glass hill until she can learn to behave! Would love to have the chance to do this course; it looks intriguing.
Shine on!

What a fun idea. I love Alice in Wonderland. It's a dream with all the craziness of a dream...magical, scary and odd happenings like many of my own dreams.
I'm afraid not a fairy tale either, but a favorite book. Goodnight Moon-both of my children's first books. Our favorite line, "and the Old Lady whispering hush"
Thank you Alisa-your blog is part of my morning wake up routine!
I remember my mom telling me the story The Gift of the Magi"....I'm really hoping to win this class!!
I loved the Fox and the Grape. I guess it's more of a fable than a fairy tale though. :-)
I'd love a chance to win a place in your new class, Alisa.
My favourite story as a child was The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. Actually, I loved most of his stories.
Rapunzel is our family favorite right now. I really hope I win!

giving spots away for your class is such a lovely thing to do! the class sounds fabulous. When I was in grade school I loved the story of Snow White because all the animals loved her and would gather around her. But I always wished it would!!

I was always a sucker for Cinderella. I had a small book version with records (45s) and a little kids' record player. I also had a big Disney book version with gold trimmed ball gowns and fancy borders. I think I learned how to read listening to that story hundreds of times. I still have both versions of the book, but the big one's pages are all loose and separated from the binding. I used to share it with my 1st grade class as an example of how precious a book might be!!

i'm quite a newbie here but i instantly fell in love with this site. for someone living outside the US, the online classes are actually pricey and so i hope to be one of the lucky winners of a free spot.
my favorite Filipino myth about the world's creation, rather than a fairy tale, is that from the Panay-Visayan islands here in the Philippines. It tells about the husband and wife, god Tungkung Langit and goddess Alunsina who went against her husband's orders in order to assert her self. It also tells the legend of why the sky rains on earth. It says in the story that the rains are actually Tungkung Langit's tears reaching the earth where Alunsina dwelt, asking for the goddess' forgiveness.

Me, me, me. I would be so happy to follow this new class which seems awesome
I have a strong connection to Snow White and all different forms and variations of the tale. My grandma used to read it to me while I sat on her lap. The image of her licking her paper soft, wrinkly fingers and turning the pages is so deep in my mind. I wonder if she still has that book, I would very much like to keep it.
I have two favourite fairy tales. Difficult to decide among them! One is the "Sleeping beauty", like the prince fighting the dragon, the enchanted forest,... and "Peter Pan", wish I could go for a visit to Neverland. Thanks for the chance!

In France, I work with children who have from 2 months to 3 years. When they have between 2 and 3 years they say "no" all the time. During this period I read
this story : "NO"
small goldfish is hungry
but hunger of a candy.
Big goldfish said no.
Then small goldfish also says no.
It is not hungry of soup, no,
it is not hungry of pie, no and no,
it is not hungry of a earthworm in the fishhook, no, no, no.
Small goldfish says noooooooooooo
At the end small goldfish does not know any more if it is hungry of a candy.
Nor even if it is really hungry.
Il would set well at first a big cuddly no ?
Children love this story because they can to shout nooooooo.
I hope my translation will be good.
In any case this class seems very interesting.

My favorite fairy tale is the Wizard of Oz. I've read all the books, seen the movie a gazillion times, memorized the sound track... Thank you for this opportunity!
I didn't really like any of the fairy tales- all too scary. Your mother dies and you are left to fend for yourself with an evil step-mother. I do have several classic books though that I loved: 1."The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster, illustrated by Jules Ffeifer. My favorite line was "As if it isn't bad enough wasting time but KILLING time is really terrible." and 2. "The Wind in the Willows". I loved the line when Rat says to Moley, "There is nothing like messing around with boats."
I always loved the stories about fairies and wee folk, and wanted to live in a little toadstool house in the woods! Love your classes, inspiring and beautiful
I loved Rumplestitlskin when I was little, I thought it was great how she won over that little mean man in the end! Thanks for the chance to win - I have always wanted to take one of your classes! I love your work!
EEeeek! It's not easy to just pick one.... at a push I think I'd have to go for Rapunzel (closely followed by 4-way tie: 12 Dancing Princesses, Snow White, Rumpelstiltskin and The Princess and the Pea).

I am currently teaching fairy tales and fables to my 2nd grade students! My favorite fairy tale would have to be Disney's Aladdin. (I hope this counts as a fairy tale.) I love that she ends up not having to marry someone her father chooses and she has the freedom to choose who she wants! Thanks for giving away spots!!
Sleeping beauty was my favorite. I love her dress and always wanted long flowing hair. I love your classes. They help me to find a way to express myself In a creative way. Pick me:-)
My favorite childhood story is Hansel and Gretel. I liked to imagine how it would be nice to have a house of candy just for me!
The Twelve Dancing princesses. I love how they escape down below there bedrooms, through gold, silver and diamond forests to dance the night away.

I poured over a Brothers Grimm folk tale book as a child. It is illustrated by Michael Foreman and the pictures took me as far into my imagination as the stories. I still have it! I have read the stories to my boys (who are now teenagers) and leaf through it myself fairly regularly. Lovely escape.
