I love using coat hangers to display art in my home and my art studio. Its a great way to switch things out without patching holes in the wall!
Lately, I've been having fun getting creative with my coat hangers by making them a little more decorative!
A paint pen is the perfect tool to add doodles and drawings to dark wood or black hangers.
You can alter a hanger with just about anything- paper or fabric, even washi tape! I wrapped a hanger with washi tape in different patterns.
Swipes of messy, colorful paint is an easy way to turn a hanger into something artful!

Beautiful hangers!! I've painted the regular (not clip style) wooden hangers in the past but would never have thought to paint the clip-style ones and use them to hang art. Now to find some wooden ones. Thanks for your wonderful ideas, Alisa!

Flat hangers are best for saving space because they fit snugly together. Curved, or contoured, hangers should be used for suits, coats, and dresses. The design mimics the curvature of the shoulders, helping these more delicate items to keep their shape.
Thank you for this wonderful idea!
Please have a look at my version :)

Wow what a great idea! I found some metal clothes hangers and used them to make my DIY hangers! Thanks, Maria
Very creative. It's hard to find functional hangers today; much less the Baby Hangers
These are available in a variety of materials including wood, plastic, flocked, and fabric coated.
Transform an old coat-hanger with some coloured fabric or pretty paint. Another great craft idea!
