exploring we will go

A while back we made the promise to each other to always make time to seek adventure as a family
(you can read about it here). Exploration and going outside is a big part of our daily lives and
once in a while I like to share a little peek into our adventures.

Hug Point State Park is just south of Cannon Beach, Oregon and is one of my favorite places to visit. At low tide you are able to hike around rocky cliffs, explore caves and stand in a waterfall- it is literally nature's playground!

  1. Sono posti magnifici! Le rocce sembrano pietre preziose e in questa natura così meravigliosa ci si sente piccoli...
Proprio bella anche la cuffia-gufo di Lucy!!!!Adoro le sue cuffie!!

Wonderful places! The rocks seem precious stones and in this nature so beautiful it feels so small...
Very nice also the "headset-owl" Lucy!!!!I love her headset!!

  3. Wow, what a great spot! Thanks for sharing your photos. I especially like the one where you can see tiny Lucy and the scale of the huge rocky cliff.

Beautiful! I live in Portland and do not get out to the coast often enough!
I think it's time to start exploring a bit with my kiddos (and husband)!
    Thanks for sharing!

  8. Thanks for saying where this is - we've driven past this point many times coming and going from Cannon Beach, but have never stopped. Now I know we NEED to! Beautiful location! Always enjoy your family jaunts out and about since we're also Oregonians, and love seeing glimpses of familiar places from your artistic viewpoints!

What an amazing place and what sweet family photos. Recently, my 17 year old was looking at a photo of her little kid self, wearing shades, and she said, "I was a cool kid." Lucy will say that some day.
