moss hearts

This Valentines Day why not go green! Here in Oregon we have tons of moss and I thought it would make the perfect material for some simple and natural valentines!

I started by twisting floral wire into a heart shape.

Next, I used moss and a little greenery collected from our back yard and glued it to the wire.

The result are pretty little green hearts that would could be slipped into a envelope, hung on the wall, turned into a garland or even used as a gift topper!

That reminds me that I never shared my wreath wall with you from Christmas. Will email you a picture. Liked it so much that I know have Valentine wreaths too. Thanks for always inspiring and sharing with us.

  8. Love the idea. So simple and pretty. I do love hunting for moss, so I might save this project for the warmer months when all our snow has melted.

This is such a great idea. I have made hearts for my front door but, have not used Spanish moss.
I like the idea of using the small heart on Valentine gifts. An even smaller heart would look so cute on an Valentine Day card.

I wonder how long the moss lasts? Anyone have experience with how fast it would die?
