a peek inside my sketchbook- landscape planning

Typically my sketchbook is a place for drawing, painting, doodling and creative exploration. But lately I have been using the sketching process to plan and dream about our current landscaping project. Since this is our first home with a yard, we have lots of work to do so I have been taking the time to do some visual brainstorming. From sketching on paper to digital sketching on my ipad to using some really cool garden planning applications (HERE, HERE and HERE) we have started the planning process for our yard!

  6. How pretty this looks, big ideas for your first home. Just remember all the work that goes into this.

I was just complaining to hubby this past weekend, we have beautiful weather but had to spend half the time taking care of the yard. It was nice spending time together but so would laying in the sun reading and playing catch instead.

Seeing this makes me happy and I won't complain anymore, or not often ha!

Hope you show pictures thru the summer.

  7. Oh, this is great! I came over here to link up to you for my own blog post about the retreat and this caught my eye since we are totally in landscaping mode over here as well! Could be a good excuse to do a little sketching practice.... 8D
