  1. Oh. I want a pink feather. How neat is that! I just realized that I have never seen a pink feather in the flesh up in cold, cold Maine. Love the pic of the sleeping bird. Thanks for the lovely pictures.

  6. Yesterday at the Phoenix Zoo we noted that the flamingoes are pretty white with just the slightest pink under-hue. I think they need to get a shipment of some of the shrimp these guys are eating! (And I did almost type "shrimpment", in case anyone wanted to know.)

Just left a comment on your peacock bag post too (so wonderful!) and had to leave a comment here too. I am so inspired as to how you get inspired by the things you see at the zoo.....
Can I ask what program you used to get the colour palette from the photo? If you could let me know, I'd be grateful! Thanks in advance!

  13. I had the same question as favouriteworkofart, what program do you use to generate the color palette? As a newbie and student in your online Sketchbook Delight course (LOVE) I think it might help me when choosing colors to add to my sketches.

  16. Wow, what a darling of colors.
In the Ebro Delta in Spain, we have a wild flamingo colony, but its color is softer.
    A greeting.
