NICE INFORMATION!
ReplyDeletethank you alisa! I seemed to know all these things (I've been following your journey for years now, I think it was 2008 when I came across your blog), but when you take all of these things together, in points, they have more weight and are more meaningful!
ReplyDeleteSo simple, yet so clear! This is just what I needed to find "square one" for my art in 2015.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing these videos! i love to listen to you, sometimes its like youre speaking directly to me!! lol
ReplyDeleteYou have presented this so clearly. I notice the consistent themes (and words) of : ritual, sanctuary, designate, discipline, comfort & fail practice. All of these direct us to establishing a value for what we do, in this case , making art but it could be physical activity or meditation or cooking. It is all intentional and mindful, respecting the processes. Very nicely done, thank you!
ReplyDeleteChanging the subject: which model of UGGs are your darling little boots?!?
Ha ha - it's DAILY practice, not fail practice! rather large difference (auto correct strikes again!)
ReplyDeleteyou are a treasure! thankyou!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove your videos! Thanks for sharing. It's a real source of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you fot being there and for sharing so much with us :)
ReplyDeleteI've become so much more reative because of you :)
Love from PORTUGAL
I meant CREATIVE!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alisa. I always find you very motivational and inspiring. What you say makes a lot of sense. I do need to find the time and give myself a space, and also some discipline! It took ages to realise that to achieve things in life you do need that discipline and I lack it. Hmmm lots of food for thought. I really appreciate the time you spend making your lovely videos and giving your time and creativity so generously. Being such a great communicator is such a great gift as well as your wonderful artwork and inspired ideas. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSara
great tips!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for these, just what I needed to hear right now. Beautiful job and I love seeing you in video, do more of these when you can.
ReplyDeletethanks for all the tips - always lovely to check in your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the reminder & great tips! Finding inspiration really is a muscle we exercise!! You are inspiring as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alisa, it's always great to have those creative reminders ;)
ReplyDeletethank you! love these videos! something I'm currently struggling with is the balance of business duties vs. creative time. I'm trying to get myself out there more, so I'm learning more about becoming a better blogger, social media and the purpose of each (SEO, content, time of day, etc.), email groups, etc. It is so time-consuming and overwhelming. I find it's taking me away from my creative time, which is what I want to be doing. Do you have any suggestions for this? Pare of me want to find someone to hire to do these things, but then I feel I will miss the knowledge of doing it myself. Maybe I could find a weekend workshop or something. Just feeling a bit frustrated! : )
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your time & for your inspiration ! Happy new year to you & yours !
