sunset collection

Last month I shared HERE why I think winter is the best time of year to visit the Oregon Coast. Since that post we've had an amazing run of beautiful but cold weather. With that weather has come some beautiful, mind blowing sunsets...like every evening! And while the sun sets at 4:38pm, the beauty of these sunsets make the short days worth it. Every evening we head down to the beach and watch the sun drop into the horizon and its become a little tradition to capture the sky with our cameras. Taken only with my iphone, I've managed to gather a collection of sunsets. Here are a few of my favorites:

For all of my sunset photos and a more personal peek into my life you can head over to my Instagram. My user name is alisakburke- I share all kinds of fun things from our daily life.

When I am around such beauty I sometimes cry. It's so breathtaking that I don't know what else to do. Told my husband that God sure is a great painter ;D Also love seeing the sunrise in our back yard peeking through our trees. You did a good job capturing them with your phone! Thank you for sharing and appreciating the beauty out there.

  3. Superb sunsets!
Our sunsets have bee pretty spectacular too, not living (quite lol!) on such a beautiful coastline as you though.
Sunset our way is about 3.50pm (Greenwich Mean Time) and light is poor for at least an hour before, even on a sunny day.
    Thanks for sharing your sunsets.

Have a joyous season and a very happy new year!

  18. These are so beautiful, Alisa. These sunsets are just reason why I've convinced my husband to drive down the Oregon coast in January. I love the wildness of winter on the shore. Looking forward to seeing some of these.
