I am super excited to reveal a secret project that I have been involved with!
Brother International is releasing a brand new cutting machine in October and it is called the Scan N Cut. It is the first all in one cutting machine with a 300 dpi built-in-scanner and I've been having TONS of fun playing with it! I have been scanning in my doodles, cutting them out and using them in all kinds of projects!
If you would like to get the latest details, sign up for the Scan N Cut mailing list HERE. And stay tuned because VERY soon I will be sharing some really fun tutorials!
Wow, how exciting!!! Your work is gorgeous by the way :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw this one while looking through a magazine I thought about if you could use your own pattern. Thanks for the tip! This will be a wonderful addition to the craft room!

YES!! I did see the demo yesterday, not only does it cut regular quilt fabric, it cuts wool fabric! They said that you are supposed to be able to use SVG files so I am hoping that is true. You can get SVG files by the thousands online. You can also convert to SVG, any of the thousands of fonts online with a $58 software called Make the Cut (not affiliated!)I have it and love it and use it. This is going to be one great machine if they use SVG files!!
ReplyDeleteHi Alisa, I just got m scan and cut and i am wondering what number on the cutter you use for cutting paper and cardstock...and have you tried cutting acetate at all?? the recommended is 3 but I nearly cut through my mat.....and are you having trouble with the tackiness of the standard mat?? My cardstock is almost sticking to it
ReplyDeleteAny info you have found while using it would be amazing ....it is such a great machine and is going to save me a lot of time:)
Thanks sarah
