Ah summer time memories of laying under my grandpa's blueberry bushes listening to the trains as they rolled through Salem.

Yum!!! A family favorite of ours. We put a layer of cream cheese in a baked pie shell and then pour thickened berries over that. Have no idea where the recipe came from-but it is by far my favorite pie!
    Beautiful berries.

  14. Ok, so I've been following your adventures. You moved back to OREGON, we moved back to So. Cal...You are really making me miss the blackberries!! They use to surround our acre of land. There were so many I could remove all the seeds for jam...wow, seedless jam, what I would give for a jar.lol

  16. May is our blackberry season here in Florida. I have to go out early in the morning to harvest the day's ripe crop because my dogs discovered that I was ppicking them and started picking them, too. Why doesn't their tongues get full of the prickers like my fingers do???
