  1. Love the use of happy colours Alisa, and the babushka is a super neat motive. Take care and have a great week!

  2. LOVE THESE!!!! Mama and daughter? Too beautiful!!! I have these dolls from childhood during the mid fifties....we bought them while at the World's Fair in Belgium from the USSR's display area....forgot what you called it....then years later my husband bought me one in Poland or Czechoslavakia while working and it is a nesting doll of Gorbie and the Russian leaders....nice, but not as PRETTY as the ones with the babuska's!!! Thanks for stirring the memory!!! You should do children's books!!!....for Moms (and Dads)actually!!!

  8. Wow the Babushka has gotten so popular these days! Seeing the motif everywhere, even in polymer clay cane work. I love how it's folk art look melds so wonderfully with your modern style and design. Beautiful little dolls, Alisa!

  11. I adore Matryoshka dolls. Just purchased a plain wooden set to paint. Thinking of decorating each as one of my favorite fairytale characters. Yours are beautiful, Alisa.
