killin' time

IMG_6070
There is no much time to kill when traveling- lots of hurry up and wait- so this morning I took a little time to myself to paint while waiting to check out of my hotel. I find that time passes much quicker when painting :)

  1. Beautiful! Love every single detail. I've been trying to figure out how to get that drippy paint look on fabric. Any thoughts?

  16. This is such a gorgeous painting! Could I be really nosey and ask where you bought your paintbox from? I have some Daler Rowney water colours and Derwent paints but they are not a bright. I did look on the crayola sight but they all seemed to be children's paintboxes, completetly different.
Many thanks for sharing and being so inspiring.

  21. OMG. I was hesitating about signing up for your watercolor class. But then I saw THIS post. And I'm convinced. I NEVER thought about creating a watercolor background and THEN creating the images on top of it like you did here - I was SO struggling with not having the "ability" to draw or paint a picture, that I never saw it as layers, some background with some sort of image on TOP could be ART...
It's like an epiphany for me...
    See you in class!!!
