If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. - Eleonora Duse
I love this, Alisa. Thank you so much for sharing-I will have to figure out how to integrate this idea into my Sketchbook delight sketchbook. Lovely colors!
So, you've inspired me to start drawing now. I've decided to use my children's toys as "models" because I was at a loss for anything else. Doing well so far, but wondered, do you just jump right in there with the ink or do you sketch with a pencil first???
I love love love this post! That is one of the best quotes I've come across in a while and it makes me happy on so many levels. Thanks you sharing this little bit of inspiration and a peek at your work!
Love this! It transports me back to being a girl, and my grandmother serving us grapefruit (and giving us more to take with us when we left) on fiestaware. She mixed up the fiestaware, using many colors together. I loved getting to choose whatever color of plate or bowl I wanted. Good memories! The quote is a beauty too.
Bravo! You are truly an inspiration! I remember vividly an assignment given during a college class: Basically everyone was moaning that they didn't have the time or money to go somewhere to shoot a beautiful photo for their portfolio...the instructor said, " go to your home and find that photo inside or within a 10 feet of your home.... Alisa! you have given me that lesson again! it's right in front of your eyes! Thank you! -Diana
