a love note to strawberries

Dear Strawberries,

When I first saw you at the fruit stand, it was love at first sight. You were bright, juicy and your sweet aroma made me weak in the knees! I knew right then and there I had to bring you home and make you mine. Thank you for sharing that wonderful evening with me, I will never forget it.

love always,
Alisa

  1. I completely concur. Biting into a fresh strawberry, especially one that's been sitting in the sunshine, gives the most exquisite taste!!

My husband's grandpa used to have a HUGE strawberry patch. It was so much fun to go there and pick berries. I've tried raising them and had absolutely no luck. So it's farmers' markets for me.

  10. I am obsessed with chocolate covered strawberries. Even saying it (or typing it) makes my mouth water.

  11. Have you tried frozen strawberries? Wash them, cut off the green, cut in half if too big, place on wax paper on a cookie sheet, then freeze. Then pop a serving's worth into baggies, re-freeze for snacking later. That'll keep you off munching on too many cookies!
