Now that Lucy is 2 we have been encouraging her to find her voice and express herself (and her creativity) in all kinds of ways! Letting her pick out her clothing each day (and sometimes twice a day when things get messy) has been a fun process for everyone. Sometimes its silly, sometimes its funky, sometimes its strange, sometimes I am surprised at how cool she looks but what I know for sure is this kid already has a style all her own!
Oh my goodness I have a ten month old and reading this I had this flash of "I cannot WAIT to see my little girl in a year doing this."

ReplyDeleteWay to cool. Reminds me of my kids when they were young. They were allowed to dress themselves and play with the dress up clothes too. Kids in the neighborhood joined in. Great days and always brought a smile. A bit messy ...lol She looks like such a happy child.

AWESOME! I love her fantastic accessories. I'm always surprised when other parents complain about their children's clothing choices and won't let them pick their own outfits. I love seeing the crazy/creative/uninhibited/wonderful combinations my kids come up with and even take notes for myself sometimes.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH!!!! How cute this Miss Lucy truly is! I am just smiling as I see so much personality and originality in these pics of one adorable little girl. She is already her own person, with her own ideas, and they are GREAT! Thanks again for sharing Lucy with all of us.
