What inspires me about nature? Imperfection. How every different leaf makes a beautiful tree, how every unique petal makes a incredible flower. Also- the colors, the movement, the sounds, the smells. Nothing comes close to it!
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by the colour and textures in Nature. It looks a wonderful giveaway prize. I have a giveaway on my blog too!
ReplyDeleteClouds inspire me! I don't know what it is, but everytime there are pretty fluffy clouds in the sky, I get the urge to create!
ReplyDeletethe colors seen in nature inspire me the most. even though i try for hours mixing and mixing different colors I cannot perfectly match the colors in a leaf, or a flower, or feather. As frustrating as it is, it is what I love most.
ReplyDeleteI love Tracie Lyn's work....as for inspiration in nature...I am a sucker for purple coneflowers and they make lots of appearances in my artwork and journals. Thanks for this opportunity at a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win...

The WABI SABI of nature inspires me...the perfectly imperfections! The colors of flowers and the green grass...just love it all. Really liked your fabric inspired by the peacock feathers...it just doesn't get any better does it :D
ReplyDeletenature = inspiration. The freedom nature holds is what inspires me. Nature is free and moves and sways to the rhythm of the energy.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by the colors of the flowers nature. The different sizes and textures things may have. I love the sound of songbirds and the buzzing of bees. When trees begin to bloom and the lovely smells they all bring. I love going out to my garden and sitting under my grapefruit tree taking in the aroma. I love watching all the many birds, i seen about 10 different kinds so far all very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me most about nature is how it changes. There is always something new to see whether it be the growth of a bud into a flower in spring, the drying of the grasses in summer to a gorgeous amber, the change of the leaves in autumn or the beauty of the stark winter in Montana. I love to use nature as the inspiration in my art.
ReplyDeleteHi ! Trees are the most fashinating part of nature, for me. They are mirror of different seasons, house for birds,...and in my garden they are close witness of my life.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for my bad english.
Ciao. :o))
Sandra
I'm inspired by the cycles of nature, by the rejuvenation and re-birth and opportunities to start anew. <3
ReplyDeleteI love Tracie's work! This is so exciting. I love to paint flowers and insects and birds.. and I think what inspires me most is just that nature is Alive! It gives me breath and soul!
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by its beauty. The reds and oranges in a cardinal's feathers, the turquoise shades of the ocean water and the fall colors of the leaves.
ReplyDeleteI love how you see patterns and color in nature that are repeated over and over again. There is nothing like a long hike or sit down in the desert to inspire your creative heart.
ReplyDeletenature is simple & complex at the same time...just like me! =) I love the textures, colors, sounds & smells...all of which inspire me in my creations. Perfectly imperfect in every way.
ReplyDeletewhat a great giveaway! I am inspired by color, and flowers...and the sounds of nature, like the crickets, birds, or the wind blowing through the trees.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Most of my art is inspired by nature. I think my biggest inspiration from nature is the colors. Look at the colors that go together in nature and notice all the colors - just how many shades of green are there???
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting a giveaway!
I am inspired by the animals in nature...the little finches and their sweet songs. I love to use birds, nests, and things of that nature (haha...no pun intended) in my decor.
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by how nature is ever changing. You can find a spot that you love and when you return it isn't always exactly the same. Flowers bloom, leaves turn splattered with reds and yellows. I love the changing seasons. It helps keep my mind changing and constantly inspired to the point I cannot keep up with the different ideas.
ReplyDeleteNature's unpredictability is what inspires me.
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to count the number of sky pictures I have. If I see an interested cloud formation, then I whip out my camera.
ReplyDeleteI love the yummy colors and the exuberance of nature. I love the fact that nature always finds a way to keep coming back.
ReplyDeleteFrom the beautiful colors on birds, to the different shapes on trees, to beautiful landscape on mountain. i love the pattern I see around me in nature it so breath taking.
ReplyDeleteI am most inspired by flowers! The different colors, the different petal shapes, the different sizes. I love to plant them, touch them, smell them, and simply gaze upon them. I love to take photos of them so that I can dream about them during the winter :)
ReplyDeletewhat inspires me most is the uniqueness of every single piece of nature. nature sculpts her way through so many components and creates it new every single second. just look at those epic monuments as the grand canyon. isn't it fascinating? and it's just one little spot on earth... there is so much to discover! just LOOK!
ReplyDeletei love the juxtaposition of nature - simplicity yet complexity in everything you see. Not to mention the efficieny of the systems. I would love to live my life that way. God Bless
ReplyDeleteI stood out in the backyard last night in the dark, watching fireflies light up the hillside. That's where I find God; in the frogs singing to each other, the flower bud revealing her beauty, the perfect design and color of a robin's egg.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog yesterday and adore it. Thank you!
I'm inspired by the colors and combination of color found in nature. I'm inspired by the beauty and imperfections found in nature. I'm inspired by the unpredictability and chaos found in nature.
ReplyDeleteThe cycles of nature inspire me. Rest, renewal, beauty, loss all mirror our lives.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I love your creativity.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me most about nature is that it never follows any of the "rules" about colour, but still never gets it wrong
It is the sound of the birds that inspires me most, especially in the early mornings. They seem to sing: come out of bed, don't loose another minute, another beautiful day has begun! Time to get up and create!
ReplyDeleteWhen I feel the need to be inspired, there's a place I go to near our home, where the shore is covered with small rocks, and when the waves come in, it picks them up and relays them back down in a way that both soothing and inspiring....I must confess to borrowing a few stones to put in our garden. If I can't make it to the shore, I step into the garden and reminisce.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Tracie Lyn Huskamp work until you brought it to your blog.....but now you have peaked my interest. Thank you for the inspiration. (ps...pick me, pick me) :)
Lately I am completely inspired by the image of an oak tree that is on top of a hilly vineyard as you come into Napa from the bay area. It is gorgeous! I want to photograph it and play with the image, but since I'm always driving down the highway when I see it, haven't done it yet...
ReplyDeleteThe seasons inspire me the most. I love allowing myself to work and create in synchronicity with the changing of nature throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly inspired by nature...as is reflected in the artwork I do...but my favorite is the strength and peace I find living among the trees; a perfect symbol of strength and peace!!
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by the ebb and flow of Mother Nature.....how it changes with the seasons....the sun that it receives, the rain that makes it grow, how the color changes in fall and the winter brings rebirth. There is always something to see if you open your eyes and heart and let it speak to you.
ReplyDeleteI love that nature is never the same. It'a always is a constant state of motion; from the changing of the seasons down to a little seed that sprouts and reaches for the sky as it grows. Nature shows me that there is beauty in everything. Love your work, Alisa - thanks for blogging!
ReplyDeleteLately, trees....the shapes of the leaves, the colors, the way the color changes when the wind blows and turns the leaves over, the texuture of the bark, thshapes, twists and turns of the branches.....
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by natures energy and changeability... No day is ever really the same! Of course there is COLOR!!!

ReplyDeleteI am in constant awe of God's creativity in nature. It is inspirational in my own art making journey!

I am inspired by how nature is always changing. Wait 5 minutes and the light might be different showing me something completely new.
ReplyDeleteMovement, in the leaves, in the crashing waves, and in my children running and exploring it all in a new way.
ReplyDeleteOur Garden full of squirrels! They hop and climb everywhere and they are great, we even have a special bucket to keep food in, so cute! But sometimes they are as bad as rats, because they steal food from little birds. ;)
ReplyDeleteNature today is birdsong in the graveyard during the burial of my gran, a dry warm day (while at home traffic was stopped because of heavy rains). Nature was very kind to us and let us bring gran to rest in a lovely, tranquil way.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by nature because it's absolutely natural....nothing about nature is humanly fabricated. Indoors, I love to decorate with rocks, twigs, flowers, and anything birdy...and use these elements as creative inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love everything in nature! But I guess what inspires me the most is the ocean and the sky. I love the colors, the freedom they hold, how they are constantly changing but still so breathtaking.
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway and great question! what inspires me most about nature are all the crazy colors and combinations of colors. anyone who says that two colors don't "match" is crazy! just look outside- it all matches!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things to be inspired by in nature. I love looking at the different colors. But, most of all...it's the feeling I get inside. That inner peace & calm that just motivates me to create. It always seems to burst when I surround myself with nature's beauty! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great give away! Color and birds--all kinds of birds and nests and eggs and singing!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors I see from my window...blue sky and blue water and some of the best sunsets ever.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the sky at sunset & sunrise...love them especially if they are teamed up with the mountains !! I love the feel, smells, texture of the earth just when the 1st rain drops fall after a long summer !!..Everything about nature is inspiring..if you happen to leave all your senses open !!
ReplyDeleteThe sounds of wind, of water ... and the colors. I wish everyone could see the colors of Soca river in Slovenia.
ReplyDeleteI simply love walking in a forest ...All the trees, the sounds, the smell of the ground are amazing...I can close my eyes and see the branches move as the breeze goes right through them...Inspiration has just filled in my craft space!
ReplyDeleteNature never repeats itself; it is forever changing producing new wonders to tickle the muse!
ReplyDeletethe quiet calmness of nature really gets my creativity going.
ReplyDeleteThere always seems to be more time when we are out doors. Time to ponder, time to look, time to explore. I never feel rushed outdoors... Just to sit and paint outdoors can take all afternoon out doors and that's ok... indoors we always have to finish in time for the next event.
ReplyDeleteThe amazing detail in each and every part of nature fascinates me.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by nature by who it causes me to be. When I let myself just be in nature (versus thinking, thinking, thinking) it's both exceptionally peaceful and exhilarating at the same time. It's one of the few places in life where I can guarantee a sense of wellbeing and calm and where I can, at the very same time, be filled up with creative ideas and solutions to challenges that have otherwise eluded me.
ReplyDeleteTracie's work is just so inspirational in itself and she 'draws' so much from nature.
ReplyDeleteThe colours of nature inspire me, closing my eyes and just 'absorbing' the aromas conjure up wonderful scenes.
The smell of rain on dry ground - one of my favourites.
Thank you so much for the chance of winning the most amazing giveaway
Good luck everyone
Hi Alisa,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to mention that I have this book and LOVE it (so I am not taking part in the giveaway).....it is wonderful. I love mushrooms that come up after it rains, taking images of them and digitally manipulating them in photoshop....also, doing gelatin plate prints with leaves, etc. and also drying blubs and doing digital manipultations of those images....just sharing for the heck of it!
Best to all of you,
Sondra (modernmarks)
My inspiration comes from the colours of the flowers in my garden, from the first snowdrops to appear to welcome the spring, till the last of the geraniums get lost to the frost. Then the beauty of the seed heads in winter, sprinkled in snowy sunlight.
ReplyDeletewhat inspires me about nature ?
ReplyDeletesa perfection - its prefection ... even in very small details ; every day, new flowers and leaves growing with the help of the light of the sun and the little drops of the rain, following rythms that we have forgotten... it's a real music for our ears, all our senses & a great lesson for all of us, a lesson of "humilité".
I always love the color combinations you see. I'm loving peacock feathers right now.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me most about Nature is that this is our great source, this is where we come from. WOW! What a beautiful thing to come from! I love trees, moss mmmmmmm
ReplyDeletethe sun, the sky the air... love it all =)
I really appreciate the color combinations found in nature. They are so unique. For example a sunset, a flower, a fruit, and so many more to count...But only in nature can you find the most beautiful color combinations, and textures that create a harmonious balance.
ReplyDeletei so love the colors of the flowers. i would love to be able to draw flowers. actually i'd be happy to draw a leaf. lol
ReplyDeleteThat it's always changing. Everyday. Even the same little patch of grass yields something new.
ReplyDeleteI love going for a walk in the woods and seeing the light stream down through the leaves to the forest floor. I love the quietness of the north woods and listening to the loons begin to call at dusk.
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING about nature inspires me everyday! The colours, and the textures - from the softness from flower petals, to the rough texture of the elm trees. The sounds of the birds - even at 3:30 am these days!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by the lines and shapes. Like the dried up pods at the end of the season, or the veins in a leaf. They give me a gazillion ideas and I never tire of looking at all the details.
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by so much in nature. colors, smells, textures, animals...
ReplyDeleteI guess the thing that is most inspirationsl is that there is so much inspiration in nature if you just take time to look for it...
Water inspires me, and things that are very very small. A shell, or a flower peeking out from under leaves, or moss, or mushrooms that are almost invisible! xo
ReplyDeleteEverything inspires me! Colors! Bird sounds, LEAVES - oh my goodness the color of leaves, storms, rain, wind..., the diversity of it all.
ReplyDeleteColor...especially in my sunflowers that are growing and blooming right now.
ReplyDeleteit is always changing and never leaves me...it keeps my creative mind flowing and keeps me at peace.
ReplyDeleteI feel drawn to nature. I'd rather be outside in the garden, mowing the grass, picking the perfect blueberries and blackberries, or camping out on the river. It just feels like home. My house is decorated in warm browns and natural shades that you might find out in a forest. I have vines hanging around my windows and flowers everywhere.
ReplyDeleteNature is the beauty that inspires me.
Nature has such detail. Even the tiniest of flowers may have little stripes. If you examine it close, everything is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love the color combos in nature. It seems they all work together perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me is in the utter chaos of a flower garden there is symmetry and order. The clashing of colors and some how it all works.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Nature inspires me in so many ways... I would have to say color is the first thing... and then how the color can change. I love all nature, but I think that leaves are the thing I'm drawn to the most.
ReplyDeleteI have two nature quotes pinned on my board above my desk...
God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars. ~Martin Luther
To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug. ~Helen Keller
This looks like a great book!
Love your blog :) I have my two pots that I just picked up to make the planter that you demonstrated... I'm going to get to it some time soon I hope!

my first thought was: COLOR
ReplyDeletebut after thinking a bit, it's that there is so much variety - ferociousness & delicateness, majesty & minutia, even beauty & ucky
I am inspired by the strength of nature. It's sustaining power to recreate itself year after year season after season. Violent weather, burning fire, drought, things that seem impossible to bear...nature continues to grow, to change, and to amaze.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by colors and the intricacies found in the way things are made up. Spider webs (although I hate them in the house!) and nests as well as flowers and plants and sunsets all provide such fascinating patterns and ideas.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful giveaway!
The simple grace of nature inspires me. I love watching as seeds turn into little green promises of what might be. I enjoy watching the robin in our yard playing tug of war with the earth over a big fat juicy worm. I love sunshine and I love a great thunderstorm. I love it all.
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by the quite beauty and strength of nature. To think that God created all this inspires me, because I'm a child of God and that means I am a creative being, too! I love rainfall, thunderstorms, rivers, waterfalls, and mountains. I love being surrounded by mountains and trees - autumn is definitely my favorite time to be out in nature. Wow! Thanks for getting me to reflect on the wonders of nature!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Lacey

The colors in nature inspire me. Especially really bright flowers, and how all the colors feel layered.
ReplyDeletereally i think my favourite inspiration about nature are the shapes...love trees the best i think, but leaves, flowers, just so amazing to look at...thankyou for the chance to win this wonderful prize...xxx

ReplyDeleteI am inspired by the sky, the sea and the trees, by a beach at sunset and by my children blowing bubbles among grass and dandelions.

ReplyDeleteVintage inspires me.
Dark coupled with beauty inspires me.
Blogs like these inspire me!
it's difficult to narrow down nature. she is an inspiring entity with so many faces. but if i have to pick something, i say it's her power and resilience. the fact that she is unstoppable and relentless. and no matter what we do, she will go on.
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway, alisa!
I find the cycles of nature very inspiring... e.g., season to season, caterpillar to butterfly, bud to blossom, and the waxing and waning of the moon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI live in Arizona in the Sonoran desert. Our cacti make the most amazing shapes against the backdrop of the sky, and the mountains tower over our valley with jagged shapes. I'm so inspired by the outlines of all these beautiful Arizona monuments.
the beach makes me the happiest. i grew up in philly and spent every summer at the shore. now i live in utah and when ever i can get to a real beach, i just relax and enjoy thoughts of my childhood!
ReplyDeletemy inspiration from nature comes straight from its honesty and purity. there is nothing that it holds back and nothing that shows off for the sake of showing off. nature is minute and detailed yet effortless and carefree. nature gives you everything you need but it also makes you work for it.
ReplyDeleteSpecifically: birds. There are so many kinds. Their feathers take my imagination to lovely places. The way the move is so unique. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of other things, but I've loved birds ever since I was a little girl.

I live in the woods surrounded by trees, but even so they amaze me on a daily basis...the leaf formations to form part of the whole!
ReplyDeleteHow nature is Free and just peaceful ! Great giveaway

ReplyDeleteI love the rich and subtle colors, the patterns, the textures, the connection to spirit.
ReplyDeleteht now, nature is happily giving me cukes and other vegetables. Just a few little seeds!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me.
What inspires me is what is hidden. I am inspired to look more closely so that I don't miss something. Like four leaf clovers for instance. If you look for them they can be found. One day I found 11! There are so many "miracles" of nature just waiting to be discovered if we pay attention and keep our eyes open.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard for me to put it into words. When I am in nature I just feel good and I feel at peace. When I'm inside I'm looking outside. I love to watch the birds at our feeders.
ReplyDeleteMy parents had a wholesale florist growing up. I absolutely loved flowers, their colors, watching them grow, and so on. I am so inspired by just watching out my backdoor and looking into the world of butterflies, the birds chirping, leaves changing colors, my beautiful flowers, and the sculptural qualities that my trees take on.I am a nature freak.

Awe.

I think every time I sit down to draw or paint I am trying in someway to emulate nature...the incredible shapes, balance of colors, the smells the textures. It all works and the design potentials that it provides for inspiration are infinite.
ReplyDeleteWendy
nature and wildlife are the reason I became a constant wildlife photographer. It is so difficult to pick one thing I love or adore most,so I will say it is the constant renewal and change I see day and night in all flora and fauna.
ReplyDeletewhen a creature dies, i turn my head and new life appears
Nothing ever stays the same
looking close enough, with patient eyes, I am amazed always
What inspired me about nature...lately I've been in the garden...I'm amazed and inspired of the journey from seed to plant...the industriousness of the insects in the garden, and the whole process of working intimately with nature. Soothes my soul!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to win such a lovely package of goodies!

I absolutely love the way sunshine streams through tree branches and leaves a lighted path on the ground below. I am inspired by a riverbed hike and a picnic in the shade. Waterfalls, mountains, flowers, birds, trees- it all inspires me. When I am outdoors camping or just taking a walk-I feel calm and connected with myself, nature and God.
ReplyDeleteHello I am so looking forward to taking a class or two of yours. What inspires me about nature? I love the ocean. It's so vass, strong yet gentle, and relaxing. I love the colors of the water. What a combination. Thank you for the opportunity to win a prize. getkoneckted@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI love how nature is always changing. My favorite thing is to walk by the Yampa River with my dog and just watch how in an instant the water can take on a whole new personality and impact all of the world around it- the trees, grasses, animals, you name it. Nature has a power over me that no man-made ANYTHING can match! It has the instant ability to lift my spirits and lighten the load that the busy world puts on all of us.
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by landscapes. I seem to be particularly attracted by farmland - vast expanses of colour in the fields - which is odd, since I'm very much a suburbs person!
ReplyDeleteNature envokes a sense of freedom. Even when the weather is stormy it has a feeling of calm. When I am in nature, I become mindful, attentive to detail and environment, and I slow down. All of these things creates a cultivated awareness that reminds me to take a break from the chaotic daily routine, slow down, and enjoy the process of making. -sigh- it is a wonderful retreat!
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me most in nature are flowers. I can't get close enough to them even taking shots through my macro lens. I want to zoom in so close to caress their velvet and opulent petals, envelop their delicate scents and marvel both at the simplicity and complexity of their structures and capture those feelings to revisit over and over again.
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me about nature? It may sound fun and simple, but it's the color of nature. Each season has its own color palette. I love looking at trees and the different colors you can see in the bark as well as the leaves. I can find inspiration looking out my window, at the grass, flowers, sky, sunrise and sunset.
ReplyDeletethe colors of nature inspire me.

ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me about nature? Considering I get the joy of being paid to watch nature in all her glory every summer ( I work at a pool that's surround by many trees). I would say it's the pure innocence around me. The bunnies coming out to graze on the long blades of grass. Squirrels trusting me enough to take their treats from my hand. The wild hawks looking for their prey. The many birds searching for a treat and singing to me.Beautiful dragonflies & butterflies. Nature is full of many surprises, all we have to do is sit back and enjoy it all. I throughly enjoy the beauty around me!

ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me about nature? everything is perfect in its own imperfection.I love the sounds in nature the bird songs, wind whistling through the trees, the hoot of owl, just being there. I could go on and on but I will spare you. Oh bye the way your blog is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteWind and water aka Feng Shui inspires me. Their invisible energy are capable of shaping the landscape of the earth a little at a time. Perfection isn't reached, but it's a journey of tiny choices made one at a time. So it is with crafting.
ReplyDeleteEach time I visit your blog, I'm inspired ... Thank you for that and for your generosity.

Nature is a constant source of inspiration for my jewelry designs and especially for the ring-a-day project that I'm involved in. And Nature generously changes colors day by day, hour by hour sometimes minute by minute. So what can I say more...
What inspires me most from nature is the rebirth of plants and flowers.
ReplyDeletei love nature! i live in the ozark foothills in arkansas. we have 4.5 acres with a pond and HUGE rocks covered in moss and cedar trees that smell & sound lovely in a bonfire. i love to have my windows open in the spring and fall- to feel the breeze inside my house. i love to feel the sunshine and smell the rain. my kids, my man, and i spend lots of time outside. we go camping a ton in the summer, swimming in the lake, going hiking to caves, taking pictures outside, walking thru creeks, sunsets, clouds, the smell of earth, growing plants and flowers...i love it all!!!!

I'm inspired by the constant change and colors of nature. Every minute there is something different.
ReplyDeleteI am most inspired by the light and colours of nature - the varieties, especially in the green spectra, remind me to work harder and deeper at my creations.
ReplyDeleteI am visually inspired by the colors and textures in nature. Especially when I've got my macro lens in hand.
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by by kids' awe of nature. How they get "nose close" to the crawlies, examine all the bits of the flowers, and stop everything when a humming bird does a fly-by.
ReplyDeleteSO cool.
This year I have been inspired by our patio garden! The kids and I planted mint, tomatoes, peppers, spinach and lettuce on our back deck. Watching everything grow from seed has been fun and inspiring for us all and it's even better when the end product is edible.
ReplyDeleteColor and texture inspire me. So many different colors and so many different shapes and sizes.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things that inspire me about nature, but I guess I will pick wavey grass. I love to see a hillside with long tufts of grass blowing in the breeze - sigh.
ReplyDeleteSounds...birds, crickets, coyotes. Wind rustling through the trees. Water in any form, ocean waves, rain, fountains, creeks.
ReplyDeleteBirds. I think because I believe I should be able to fly, as I do in my dreams...

ReplyDeleteWhen I first read this question what instantly came to me was the quiet! When I thought about it some more I realized that nature wasn;t necessarily quiet but instead filled with it own special sounds. I guess it is these lovely sounds (Or Quiet) that I find so inspiring as they are so different than the sounds of the hustle and bustle of my regular life. Oh....that and all of that fabulous COLOR!

ReplyDeleteI love the smells; the feel of wind and sun; the sounds of insects, birds and animals and the colors and textures of leaves and flowers. I love how time seems to stand still and I can live in the moment and appreciate this beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by nature's abundance...variety...balance...tranquility...stilness...

What grabs my attention first about nature is color. Then it draws me in to the details of texture, pattern, and uniqueness.
ReplyDeleteNature is pure inspiration....with all the different shades of color, imperfections and depths of beauty. I am always taken back by nature, especially when the start of a new season comes (i live in the midwest)we are truly blessed by what surrounds us!
ReplyDeleteThe sound of a babbling creek, the rain drops and the wind ruffling through the leaves inspires me. Especially now, since it is the first time I am hearing them! After my new cochlear implants, it's amazing what I can now hear. It's a noisy world after all! Thank you for this opportunity to win this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLooking around my studio and seeing them everywhere.... as images I've created or rubber stamps sitting on my shelves it has to be "Flowers".
ReplyDeleteTheir vibrant colours, glorious shapes and wonderful fragrance fill me with joy.
Just discovered your blog in time for this great giveaway. I have had my eye on that book so to win it would be wonderful. I am inspired by the colors and textures of nature..especially ferns and birch bark!
ReplyDeleteEasy! COLORS!! Any season has the amazing potential for different color inspiration...
ReplyDeleteFlowers are definitely the most inspirational thing for me...I love to photograph them and I love to just enjoy the colors and the combination of colors that are naturally created. There is nothing more fresh than seeing random flowers planted next to one another and just being amazed at that palate!
ReplyDeleteNature inspires me with its JOURNEY! Each and every bit of nature has a beginning and an end, and a path it travels in between - Butterflies, birds, grass, leaves, water, a breeze, a scent, a song... Nature provides the most basic and constant ebb and flow of life, inviting us to dance, so that we can just enjoy each moment.
ReplyDeleteRusty objects found while walking my dogs inspire me. The rustier the better!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much that I love about nature. I love all the vibrant colors that you can find and the smell of flowers. I love looking at a birds nest and marveling at how they can take any little thing and weave it together to make their home. There is just so much to be fascinated by!
ReplyDeleteBirds. I love birds. Especially grumpy lookin' ones :)
ReplyDeleteI love Tracie's book. I have it on my nightstand and when insomnia hits, I don't mind! Nature is like a big crazy quilt - texture, color, oddities, flora and fauna. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a georgeous giveaway..
ReplyDeleteNatures inspires me with all its colors and textures and beauty, from the wings of a georgous butterfly to the roaring sounds of the ocean, or mountain stream to grand trees swaying in the wind to wonderfully made creatures....
The smell of a flower can be intoxicating, a butterfly's color can take your breathe away, and sights and sounds of water rushing down a mountainside can exillerating...
Some of our most inspired creativity comes from nature....
We are refreshed as we brush with it each day.....
So many lovers of nature have already capsulated all there is to say. Every bit of our world has been created and painted for us to enjoy from the brown mixture of ochres to the lush colours of the rainbow. Beauty is everywhere.

I am inspired by the uniqueness of nature. Unlike mass-printed materials, every leaf, petal, and shadow is different from the next. Uniquely beautiful, uniquely perfect. The same is true for every hand, face, and voice. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think it is the scent, its like in the early morning, the smell of the grass, and the flowers and the birds chirping and the quiet.
ReplyDeleteI love butterflies and flowers. There is no end to the various shapes and details and nuances. Truly amazing. Lucie (LAupperlee@sheppardpratt.org)
ReplyDeleteI think that I'm most inspired by the juxtaposition of textures in nature -- a smooth stone against the sand, an egg in a nest.....
ReplyDeleteoh, wow wow wow!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired the the ever-changing-ness of nature. Each moment is different. The shifts of light, I think, are the most fascinating; especially at dusk... that magical moment when everything takes on a new layer of indefinable colour.
I love trees and the shapes of the limbs.
