You are very generous to do that! Especially because its how you make your living. My Hubby and I own our own business so I know how hard it can be to make a living! A new technique; I think learning how to find my own style of making art, putting my own touch on it. I find it hard to do that. Thanks for the best giveaway of all!

This is an incredible giveaway, thank you! Something that I've been working on lately is composition and how to fill a page. I've been trying to find a balance between adding the colors that I love and having white space on the page. I recently signed up for your Layers class and am loving watching you work through your pages, it has been a huge help!

You have just about my favorite blog...don't know if Canadians are eligible for your giveaway, but I'd love to win free classes..you have given me so many ideas..
As a retiree who loves to 'Make' - from crocheted hats to jewelry to learning new uses for drawing and painting materials, I couldn't afford to do anything but read your blog and wish that I could buy all the wonderful tools you talk about..still, I find that by judicious shopping, I can and do find alternatives and have enjoyed learning new things..it keeps me feeling young mentally to be creative, to never repeat myself but to grow from doing..thanks so much for your wonderful energy.

I am 72 years old and have recently been getting back into my art. (I painted when I was much younger, then had a full time job which took away any playtime I had. Then my husband died just 2 years after I retired, upending everything in my life for a period of time.) I love using watercolors especially and would like to learn how to really loosen up (I used to paint "tight" flowers, etc.). I would particularly like to learn how to draw and paint portraits, as I so want to do one of my beautiful grandson, who was adopted from S. Korea. I just want to keep on learning for as long as God grants me life! I love your work, Alisa, and your inspiring blog. I was working with one of your classes last night - You, Me and the Sea - and I am loving it. :)

Oh and coloring pages!

Many, many more beautiful, creative years to you--Happy Birthday!

Dear Alisa,at first let me wish you a very happy birthday. I have not been a subscriber to your blog veeery long, but since I have, I have start d to love it. Your creativity, your way to express yourself... It is a huge inspiration to me. I do not consider myself an artist, however I love to create original handmade bijoux, I love refashion and am learning to sew. I also like taking pictures, though only on my smartphone. The one thing that is drawing me for a very long time, yet I do not know where to and maybe am a bit afraid to start, is painting and drawing. For this, any of your classes would be a treat, as I love how you draw and paint... But I would love to learn to draw portraits, animals an landscapes the most.

Happy birthday, Alisa!
There is so much creative stuff I'd love to try out! I'd love to learn how to let go of the perfectionism that stops me from doing things I love, like drawing and painting. I'm trying to make anything I draw/paint/doodle a piece of art worth showing to others... And this stops me even from things like doodling in a sketchbook! I'd love to be able to create as freely as you do, not worrying something looks not too good...
Besides, I'm on my way learning how to drive my own creative business and there is still a lot for me to learn about that!
Thanks for the giveaway!

How generous! Thank you for the chance. :) I am definitely interested in painting faces--getting that layered, more impressionistic look, but with a realistic feel.

Adult ADHD. That's me! Great at starting all sorts of creative projects. My mom was a very talented watercolor artist. Favorite thing to do with mom as a kid was walk the beach looking for "FROSTED GLASS". I think those beautiful translucent pieces of glass remind me of my mom's paintings. She's been gone 6 years now. I've never had any professional instruction. I just paint what I remember Mom telling me. Keep it loose. Don't over work the paint. And, it only has to give a suggestion of your subject. You don't have to go for realism. I have loved the online watercolor classes I have taken from you! As a busy mom myself, I appreciate that I can stop and start your classes (or repeat!) as time allows. Your style makes me happy and feel free to experiment. Try new things. Keep up the amazing work! Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And what a generous gift you have to offer. Thanks for sharing your talent! My comment is probably too long for anyone to even take a look, but spoken from the heart! ❤️

I would really like to be able to become a better letterer. My desire is to find a style that fits me. A secondary thing would be drawing, or more like doodling. Anything creative would be fun!

I love your classes! Lifetime access would be amazing. I want to learn how to relax when making art. I know it comes from doing and letting go. In my head, I know this. I love your way of teaching and encouraging and hope that by continuing to take classes I will some day learn to relax when I create.
