As many of you know, drawing and sketching is a really important part of my creative process. I believe that regardless of your experience, drawing is a wonderful way to stay inspired. In this class we will be using basic drawing and sketching concepts as a way to capture a moment, document ideas and tell a story. I will be sharing prompts, techniques and ways to turn your sketchbook into a diary!

I have been an elementary teacher for 20 years. I have taught Jr. High Spanish, 2nd grade and I now teach Kindergarten bilingual. I love to draw the illustrations from the books I read to my kinders. I draw the Cat in the Hat, bunnies, cats, pigeons, and other characters. This year has been very stressful, and I would love to take a class to relieve a lot of that stress. Please choose me!

Looks like another great class! I love drawings things from nature - tree, leaves, fruiting bodies, etc... as well as my cat- a subject that is always handy ( I call him my "velcro" cat since he is always stuck right next to me). I also draw a lot of flowers. And birds. Oh heck, I draw anything that takes my fancy at the moment.
I find myself doodling cows and their calves, flowers and vines, and vintage campers. They keep evolving,and so do I!
I like to do soul scribbles and mandalas... it's like a meditation in movement.

I love to draw Mandalas. It is so relaxing.
Faces of my grandkids or someone I admire and sketchy landscapes are my favorite things to draw. One is detailed, slow and extremely tedious and I love doing this to bring up memories and all the love. The other is quick and enjoyable way to capture a memory of a certain place and time.

I really adore your art and your blog, you actually inspired me to get a blog of my own. I love art, but drawing was always just a tool for me and I'd love to get inspired to use it more on its own. When I'm drawing, it is animals (birds, cats, rabbits) or fruits that interest me most.

Since I was a good, I haven't believed that I could be good at drawing. Recently, I overcame my fear and went to an art class and drew a teapot and it was so much fun. I would really love to be able to draw more easily, not to get caught up on perfection, but to be able to fill my journal with sketches to add more colour. This class looks great!
