I have just started learning about Neocolors and am loving them ... acrylic goache is next. Playing with new mediums is fun .... oh and I just learned how to shade a face with paint instead of pencils!

Thanks for the chance to win! My favorite technique has been layering a canvas with tissue paper and then painting over it using some of it for texture and allowing some of the color to show through as well.

Old fashioned cut and stick is my favourite atm, but a white gel pen is generally used on everything!

baby wipes rubbing through stencils on top of still-wet acrylic paint, image transfers, stamping or painting on tissue paper and putting bits down with matte medium

Over here we love watercolors and collage: tissue paper, washi tape, little cut outs... anything really... if you can stick it on, then we do!!!

My favorite mixed media techniques (at this time) are stencils with embossing paste, using a white
paint marker over bright colors and adding in seed beads or glitter to my projects. Thanks for

So many fun ideas here. If I had to pick just one, it would be paint markers. :)

I dabble in a lot of different media, hence the "mixed" in mixed media. My go-to techniques are water soluble markers, pencils and crayons all used with a water brush for a watercolor look.

Rught now, spritzing inks on paper and then drawing what I see in the various shapes. It's very therapeutic!

I love layers that you cannot tell which one came first, etc. I use watercolors, acrylics, gesso, stamping, sprays, stencils, paint pens, markers, washi tape, collage, etc. I love your art journals.

My favorite technique? Watercolor splatter on watercolor paper with my favorite colors/let dry/draw something in pencil and paint around the object with white fluid acrylic. It always look terrific! Pick me!

Last night I went "shopping" through my closet of supplies: watercolors,acrylics, gesso, micron pens, ephemera and sketch books, which have been dormant for more than 4 yrs. I am so grateful to you for encouraging me to be me. For too long I've been stuck, hesitant to stare at the white page, again.You are my inspiration.

My favorite technique right now is adding colorful designs of tissue wrapping paper to my mixed media!

Sounds like a fantastic class! Being fairly new to art journaling, I mainly use collage and acrylic paint.

I've been getting really into watercolors, resists and stenciling lately. I also work on fabric, and I find that parts of these techniques will work on both fabric and paper!

I love them all, but my current favorite is using pen and ink over acrylic paint or anything else. The new inks are fabulous!
