new class DOODLE DELIGHT and a giveaway!

IMG_5913 copy

After lots of requests from many of you out there- I am super excited to announce my new online class Doodle Delight! While I touch on doodling in many of my classes I have yet to dedicate a class just to the art of doodling. While I believe ANYONE (despite experience) can create great doodles I have put together this little class to share my own process, demonstrate techniques, ideas, prompts and inspiration to keep your doodling authentic and unique! Well explore how to use lines, shading, how to create unique doodles, how to use and apply inspiration, play with scale and more! All you need is a pen and paper and you are ready to go!

Picture 1
The structure of this class is a little different from my others and it is reflected in the price- $40.00

(It is not large enough to be a 5 lesson class and not small enough to be a mini class- it is somewhere in between!)

Also different from many of my classes- the lessons are posted all at once and ready for you to dive into. And just like the rest of my online classes you have unlimited access to come and go as you please for as long as you want.

For all the details and to register hop over to my online shop!

GIVEAWAY!

And last I will be giving away 4 free spots in the class!

Leave me a comment and tell me you favorite thing to doodle!

I will pick and announce the winners on SATURDAY!

I hopelessly doodle flowers. All kinds. Sometimes, 3-D boxes and once in a blue-moon, the alphabet in ball-point calligraphy...which looks horrible!

I really look forward to the possibility of creating something with doodles. I haven't really been much of a doodler. I just signed up for your 30 days of creativity...doing some heavy-duty therapy, and an excited to establish an everyday habit. I love using art as a means to express all emotions, especially when in the healing process with trauma. Thanks for all you do! I admire your work and willingness to share!

O o. I'm number 208!

Things I like to doodle: flowers (I'm not the first!) and leaves.

I wish I could force my daughter to do it. She's 10 and started with doodle. Do you know what she did: she has put everywhere HP between the flowers. HP= Harry Potter. Grrrr.

I like to doodle flowers and paisley shapes. I am keen on Zentangles too. There are a few examples on my blog.
I have been introducing them to my younger students.

Meanwhile I sometimes find it hard to get started on a blank page. Been working my way through sketchbook delight and Sketchbook delight 2 is waiting in the wings for me to carry on.

Most of my doodles are while i'm on the phone. I might write a word that was spoken during the conversation and doodle in and around it. It could be lines, shapes, flowers, hearts, and/or a bazillion other things. I get some pretty wierd doodles sometimes. =)

This class sounds fun and I love the way you doodle, it's always free and pretty. My favorite doodles are little houses, letters, flowers but want to learn more and how to do stretch what I draw. Sometimes I can't fill up a whole page, either it doesn't look right or the doodles start messing up and I overthink them. SO this class would be soooo perfect to win.

Thanks so much for this chance, crossing my fingers wishing hard to be picked!!!
p.s wish you lived on the East coast, would love to take a class in person with you. All your plans and location sound beautiful.

My favorite things to doodle are flowers. I even put them at the beginning of headings when I am taking notes. We have a white board in our kitchen and sure enough I have my doodles next to each listed item. It's my little happiness. Sometimes I have more doodles then items and I lose track of what I was suppose to do which was to add things to the grocery list. I also doodle on hard surfaces and in the air with my finger. I love it! I do this when I am working on a new doodle and it's relaxing. lol!!!!!!

I absolutely love doodling-pretty sure my teachers hate it! The second I'm done with a quiz or a test, I'm doodling away, jazzing up the title, making little things here and there 3D. There'll be a random guitar next to an answer. I love to doodle...this may seem a little strange...spider webs! I also love writing things in block letters and such. This may make me sound even more crazy, but drawing the backs of people's heads! (I can never get the front right...) Hair always shines in a fascinating way, highlights, texture. Anyways, you are extremely inspirational, and when I'm not attacking my homework with doodles, I'm on your blog with my jaw reaching my knees in awe at just how amazing you, Lucy, and your art are.

What a great class! How exciting. My favorite doodle objects are flowers and leaves. They seem to find their way into all of my doodles and sketches, even when I don't intend them to. :)
