new online class- watercolor bliss and giveaway!

watercolor copy

My next online class starts June 6th and registration goes live today!

In my last online class- Sketchbook Delight I touched on using watercolors when sketching. I received so much feedback about working with watercolors that I decided to dedicate a class to methods, techniques, projects and inspiration with watercolors. (With my own unique, simple, messy spin of course!)

watercolor bliss online class

This online class will introduce you to everything you need to know about working with watercolors. From exploring a variety of simple supplies and tools (even how to create your own pigments) to learning all about traditional techniques and ways to break the rules, from mixing and layering color to dripping and splattering to creating compositions and discovering how to use watercolors in a variety of different projects to ultimately finding your own style.

If you enjoyed Sketchbook Delight and are looking to push it further with watercolors OR if you are new to using watercolors- this is the class for you!

I have not tried watercolors yet, but it has been on my to-do list. I love painting flowers, I can't get enough of the pretty colors and varieties!

I have always loved to sketch and paint, and the majority of the time I am drawn to painting birds... mostly because I would like to know what it's like to fly at a moments notice.

I love painting little pleasures from every day life- food, things which surround us, nature, whatever amazes me can be a great thing to paint :) I'm in love with your blog, and your sketchbooks are unbeliveble pretty!

406 comments!! Congratulations! I've taken most of your classes and have been delighted at the freedom I've gained in my art journey. I don't think I've found my favorite thing yet. That's why I want to take the class.

I am searching for a new passion.. and would LOVE to know how to create with watercolours. I am looking forward to painting cute girly ladies, and I think patchwork quilts would also be a beautiful subject.:)

This would be perfect. I've just begun to paint with watercolors and I really need some insight. I love painting birds and I'd like to go for a walk with a little sketchbook and to be able to paint what I see.

i found myself here through another blog(a friends) i was reading and became absorbed by the delightful visuals and positive words. Yum! my grandmother was a great watercolorist and i always loved to watch her. Sad to say, i don't have hardly any of her original work... and i feel drawn to giving it a try. i love to sketch horses, hoots, tigers, birds, fish and flowers and faces. interesting that you give classes on line...i will have to try.
thanks!

I tried water color as a kid but that was it. I'm always fascinated and wanted to learn how to water color. I subscribed and watch many videos on water coloring but never have the gut to try on my own! Please pick me! :-P
Thank you so much for the chance to win!
(I'd still register for the class if not picked and btw, the link to the registration page is not working)

oh my, that is a lot of comments! Sounds as though you will have a fabulous class. Your style is quite alive and wonderfully colorful.

So far... my favorite subject is ladies..... would have never guessed, but I draw and paint them over and over. Next is animals.... magical and totem like.

Such a fabulous give away, please include me.
