hand carved stamps!

IMG_0399
Last night I kicked off teaching at the CREATE Retreat with my hand carved stamps class. What a blast we had carving up anything and everything! And the best part is that everyone walked away tons of their own super unique stamps to use in their mixed media projects! Here is a peek...

What a resourceful technique! A lot of times I can't find a manufactured stamp with the kind of design I'm looking for...this offers the option of turning a vision into reality, while at the same time saving some $$! Thanks for sharing this info with all of us!

These are lovely - such an array of materials and patterns. Just goes to show that there is a method of making stamps that will suit everyone :)

I have always felt the twinge when using manufactured stamps and have mostly steered away from them. Now I know how (and have the means to make them) I'm having fun making my own unique stamps - *yay!*

Oh I love your stamps! I have always seen those home address stamps and wondered if I could make our own (being that they are $30 + dollars). I may experiment!
